Augmented Reality for Nintendo 3DS now on Android App and Wearable T-Shirts

Besides the glasses-free 3D gaming, another popular feature on Nintendo 3DS is the support for Augmented Reality (AR).

Nintendo 3DS comes bundled with six AR cards to give you a glimpse of exciting possibilities with Augmented Reality.

However, for some people, having to carry the cards around is an unnecessary hassle and there’s also the unavoidable possibility of misplacing and losing the cards.

Luckily, the Augmented Reality support on Nintendo 3DS is not restricted to the original cards. As long as the system recognizes the specific image pattern, regardless of where the images are actually printed on, it will work.

In relation to this, some people came up with a free Android app that allows you to store all six images of Nintendo 3DS AR cards on your Android smartphone and tablet. So you can keep the original physical 3DS AR cards in mint condition and somewhere safe. You can download the Spare Deck (3DS) Andoid app for free here.

If you don’t own an Android device, or the Android app simply doesn’t impress you, you can buy Level Up Studios Augmented Reality T-Shirts! And yes, this T-shirt will work with your Nintendo 3DS system.

Cosmo black T-Shirt for men costs $17.99.
