How to Restart iPad that Crashed, Froze, Bricked or Stops Responding

You might already know that pressing the top-right button on your iPad will either put your iPad to sleep or wake it up. It is for this reason that Apple calls it the “Sleep/Wake button.”

You might also know that pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds will give you the option to “slide to power off.”

After powering off your iPad, holding the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds will once again “Power On” your iPad. You will see the familiar Apple logo along with a rotating circular progress indicator. After a few seconds, you will be presented with the locked screen.

However, if you are reading this article, you probably noticed that the Sleep/Wake button does nothing in the event that your iPad crashed, froze, locked up or stopped responding.

Apple FaceTime Freezing on iPad and iPhone with iOS 4.3

Few folks with iPad 2 and iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3 have reported experiencing problems with Apple FaceTime having their faces stuck in time whenever they launch Apple’s video calling app.
